I think the average person spends between $100 and $400 a month on gas. Gas is one of those things we all use.
For the last 18 months we have sold gas cards mostly via students to their own families and we have made in profit over $3000.
Those folks who bought gas from us were going to buy gas anyways but by buying it through us we got a percentage from Kwik Trip.
Over the summer, we thought Kwik Trip may close the program so we added Holiday to the mix even though their return was ½ of what Kwik Trip was. This fall, Kwik Trip announced that they were continuing the program which was great to hear. That means that….
Kwik Trip gives us 10% on all gas cards that we sell
Holiday gives us 5% on all gas cards that we sell
These percentages seem small but they add up fast.
I have had several students earn over $300 in the last year doing this which is awesome.
We are going to begin this Sunday with an effort to increase sales of gas cards while decreasing other fundraisers that might be less essential.
After each service for 15 minutes, a student will be sitting outside my office with a clip board, gas cards and a cash box. If you are the parent of that student, all the profits will go to your student. If you simply buy from that student, half the profits will go to that student and half will go to the chaperone fund.
If this works, we will keep the gas station open in the coming weeks. Currently we have Kwik Trip and Holiday cards but if your gas station of choice is SA, we can add them to the mix if there is enough interest. If that is the case, please let me know.
We invite anyone from church to consider these easy effort towards fundraising.
Students who staff the table will earn
· 100% of profits from sales within their family
· 50% of profits from sales outside of their family
Students who sell cards to their family and friends outside of the gas station will earn· 100% of profits from sales within their family and friends
Thanks in advance
