About Borderless: In the Seattle area a number of CLB Churches for about 20 years have been partnering with the lead pastor in a small village in Mexico located about 20 minutes from Yuma Arizona. The teams that come to Mexico (About 150-200 people) all camp and sleep in a gated compound and eat breakfast and dinner in another area. In the morning and evening, worship and teaching times start and close the day and during the day teams go in about 8 different directions to work in smaller villages located 20-45 minutes away. In each of these villages a VBS ministry occurs, a ministry to the moms of the kids in VBS occurs, construction projects occur and simple medical assistance is given.
A Minnesota Partnership: A collection of CLBA folks in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, SD and Canada seem to be coming together to pull this off again. Our vision is that we would lead one site together (Work with Pastor Mario at the Silva Church), have an ongoing relationship with the site and have the freedom to rotate years off and on and to add churches to the site while having a shared vision for the site in cooperation with the host pastor.
Who is this trip for: Anyone in 8th grade and up. That’s the borderless policy.
Why in the Spring?: This trip occurs the week before Easter every year for two reasons
- The kids in Mexico get this week off every year from school
- It can reach 115 degrees in the summer

Key Deadline/Next Step if interested: If you are interested you will need to complete an application which are due 11/15.
Passports: US policy is that to drive across the border you just need an enhanced ID but the church we partner with has a document that they complete by 1/30/2013 that needs a passport number so we ask that you begin the process.
Extra Costs: We ask that students be prepared for 8-10 meals out of pocket, pay for their passports as needed, bring spending money and be prepared for a $25 tax to get into the country (we hope to not pay it but be prepared)
